In this critical role, you will be responsible for data conversion from the client's existing systems into Senior-Systems' database. Responsibilities include programming, data analysis, functional specifications, unit testing, and customer support for data conversion issues
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all data from a variety of legacy systems is migrated into the new system
- Create detailed mapping between old data elements and new data elements
- Analyze legacy data and identify problems and issues with respect to the new system
- Prepare time estimates and conversion quotes
- Work with the Project Coordinators/Customers to develop business rules for resolving data issues, and develop conversion rules to transform the data for the new system
- Develop standardized ETL methods for a variety of source systems using combinations of utilities, SQL scripts and conversion programs.
- Develop/maintain utility programs/scripts to automate common pre/post conversion tasks
- Perform unit tests for front-end interfaces and reports
- Review Customer feedback on first iteration conversion and determine actions
- Implement second iteration data conversion
- Install the converted data on Customer's database
- Provide post installation support
Primary Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Working knowledge of any ETL tool
- Demonstrated Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer facing experience
- Knowledge of business applications (i.e. accounting)
