Senior Systems Now Offers Hosting Solutions

In early 2007, Senior Systems began offering schools off-site hosted solutions. Senior Systems recognized that many schools preferred the convenience and affordability of having their administrative software and data hosted at an off-site location. In response, the Senior Systems Hosted Solution was created. The Senior Systems Hosted Solution uses Citrix Presentation Server technology to host applications and facilitate a secure user experience. All data is transmitted via a secure SSL VPN gateway from our Oracle Database servers to the end-user’s desktop over the internet. No data is transmitted to local workstations without explicit permission from the end-user. The Senior Systems My BackPack portion of the hosted solution provides the same secure login using a VeriSign Secured SSL Certificate for data transmission across the internet. Our servers are located in the secure Senior Systems Hosted Solution Center, which is only card accessible by essential personnel. Data backups are performed at regular intervals and stored on tape-based media locally and transmitted to a secure remote data center.
