What is involved if I choose to switch to Oracle?

Consultation: We will review your current Senior Systems operations, future plans relating to the Senior Systems applications, database statistics, and networking infrastructure. Based on this review, we will specify the appropriate hardware and operating system upgrades required to support an Oracle database.

Proposal/Contract: We will present you with a proposal/contract describing the upgrade and support services that will be provided along with their associated costs.

On-site installation and data migration: We will come to your school, install the Oracle database server and transfer all of your existing data from SQLBase to Oracle. We will verify that all data has transferred. Database backup procedures will be defined and verified. All workstations currently running the Senior Systems applications will be configured to access the Oracle database.
